My wife and I have been married for few years now and a point of constant friction has been the fact that I am often naked around our home. Our home is very private and it’s pretty much impossible for the neighbors to see me unless they trespass our land. It was one of the reasons we got the place. I’ve liked being naked for before we where even dating. She knew this.
My wife argues that it’s disrespectful for her and that our kid (4 yo) could get traumatized because of it. I’m pretty sure that’s not true. Other mammals don’t wear clothes and they don’t seem to have mental health issues because of it.
She has brought some valid points such as the fact that if I sit, the surfaces I put my butt on can get some poop particles, disgusting, so I don’t do it anymore. I googled it, it’s a thing so now I put some boxers when I want to sit. I think that is fair.
But some other times I just go to the kitchen and fix myself a sandwich naked before bed and I get a lot of shit. I also sleep naked which she is ok for the most part but sometimes complains.
I feel like I’m not hurting anybody, and I sometimes wear a robe or some boxers and a shirt to avoid conflict but honestly I feel like I should be able to be naked in my home.
