I’ve watched a lot of TV in my time. I’ve never seen anything like this episode. I’ve seen countless childbirth scenarios that are often comically written; throwing out the husband, shouting at the mother in law, wondering where the husband is, while everyone flaps around.
I will never understand childbirth, or the connection between mother and daughter. But this is as close as I feel I’ll ever get.
What an absolutely beautiful piece of television.
