I like J.K. Simmons, I like the premise, I like the general idea, but something about Counterpart just does not do it for me. Literally everything I saw online compared this to Severance and were borderline calling it a masterpiece. I tried watching the first few episodes and just… could not get hooked at all. Characters I don’t care about, a bland, dimly lit setting, no amounts of nuance to mystery or subtlety… I don’t know. I just feel like maybe too many characters, events, concepts at once? I couldn’t invested into a particular person or thing and the story was just proceeding at breakneck speeds from episode 1. I don’t need a slow burn perse, but God Damn.

Anyone else’s thoughts?
