Hi everyone! I (16F) have what, after some research, seems to be a Bartholin’s cyst. It’s pretty small (under 1cm in diameter) and doesn’t hurt unless I apply pressure. I’ve had it for maybe 2 weeks now, and it’s gotten only marginally bigger in the past week. I could be wrong on what it is - it’s located a little higher up than where I think it ‘should’ be, but I don’t know if that’s real.

I’m wondering how necessary it is to make an appointment with a gyno - I’ve never been before and it would be hard for me to have that conversation with my parents, but of course if it’s going to be a health problem I would want to go. Should I wait to see if it goes away? From what I’ve read, a lot of people just *have* them for a while.
