I’ve noticed this for a while- People love characters that are serial killers, evil villains, ext. but HATE normal characters that have done everyday crappy things like cheating or being selfish? For example- Nate Fisher from Six Feet Under and Dexter Morgan from Dexter, there’s so many people that despise Nate for the regular shitty things he’s done (i.e cheating, selfishness, arrogance) but nobody hates dexter for being a horrific serial killer? How can the same people that hate Roman Roy for simple mistakes love Joe Goldberg, a man who’s stalked, killed, and abused so many women? It’s even more absurd when someone doesn’t care that Dexter is a serial killer but draws the line at him cheating. It’s interesting to me.
