Not a Brit, but this has been a redundant pattern when it comes to following British politics. The latest one that comes to mind is The British government restricting the right to freely assemble.
Every single time i hear on the news that the UK legislature is debating liberty restricting policies it ends up passing 2 weeks later 😂😂😂😂😂
