I really wanted to like this show - I love Chicago, love Italian Beef sandwiches, have worked in kitchens, etc.

I couldn’t get past episode 3 of Season 1. Everything about this show is bad - terrible writing, horrendous and offensive cliches (e.g. the “Magical Negro” trope), rehashed themes that other shows have done so much better, the worst and most obnoxious “needle drops”, characters that are caricatures, style over substance but even the style is terrible, distracting guest appearances that start by episode 3.

I feel like there was some type of mass delusion going on when people praised the first two seasons - it made no sense. Finally it seems like some are opening their eyes in Season 3, and hopefully this trend continues and this show is recognized for the abomination that it is and always has been. The Emmys are clearly a joke, but to even nominate this show for one award would have been preposterous - heaping awards on it like it was Seinfeld or The Sopranos was absolutely insane.
