I’ve tried multiple watches & couldn’t get past the last 1/2 of season 2 because Michael Scott is basically Colin Robinson (from What We Do in the Shadows) - looked around & read that Scott becomes less corny / cringy. So on my last watch I got through season 2 but realized what was really stopping me from continuing all those past attempts: Pam & Jim are complete A-HOLES. Every time, I found myself rooting for Dwight. Dwight is annoying & a brown-noser, but he’s not an a-hole like those 2. Jim & Pam know better because they have social skills, Dwight just doesnt. So when they do shity things to him, it just comes off as bullying the underdog. Does the dynamic of the 2 popular people crapping on the nerd go away in the rest of the seasons? And dont get me wrong, I am WAY not against crappy/mean characters; Peep Show is my favorite comedy. Its just that we are supposed to *like the Jim & Pam characters, thats the way they are written… they’re the “cool” ones… when in fact they are totally unlikeable.
