I’m sure this isn’t a problem with shows you absolutely love/loved, but how about with shows you liked, but not enough to put up with the fanbase?
Now that I think about it, this actually did happen to me with a show I once loved: Lost. I was absolutely obsessed with the show as it was airing, and was actively involved in the TWoP forum (hello, fellow travelers!). But, once the finale aired, and I had some distance from the show, I came to be heavily critical of the series. I recently rewatched it, and a lot of the same feelings came back–adoration mixed with heavy disappointment. When I came to discuss the show on Reddit, I was very much turned off by a lot of condescension by super fans who could not accept any criticism of the show.
A show, which I liked but did not love, is Better Call Saul.
