As we’re seeing less and less stigmatisation in regards to Marijuana and an over all relaxation of the enforcement of drug laws across the board we’re also witnessing a new type of diabolisation this time facing gun owners. It seems that the government will mobilize ressources, rule by executive decree, criminalize otherwise innocent Americans for the simple act of gun ownership. I finally thought that we have gotten rid of the puritan, resource and capital grinder that was the drug war for an across the board re evaluation of our criminal justice system, but no, it seems that the man who pioneered the 1994 crime bill and played a considerable role in the incarceration of poor Americans and the destruction of communities through the drug war cannot live without a crusade to lead, not even for 5 minutes.
