Well... I dumped the $1.4K to my federal student loans. In other words, I used the assistance to become less indebted to the government!
(While adding $1.4K to my net worth by giving it into a debt)
I didn't want the government's stinkin' stimulus dollars! So I gave them back to the Fed...
