The Tonight Show with Jay Leno ran from 1992 to 2014(with a few months off in 2009-2010) with 4610 total episodes. We rarely see clips or mentions of Jay’s version of the Tonight Show today, especially when compared to his contemporaries, even during the time he was on the air. Shows like Davis Letterman’s, Conan O’Brien’s, Arsenio Hall’s, Craig Ferguson’s, Jon Stewart’s all seem to have lasted longer in the Zeitgeist even though during the time they were airing they were dominated in the ratings by Jay.
