I got the MGM+ trial on Prime Video to watch Stargate (1994) and saw this show on there and started watching it on the background while I gamed (For Honor, don’t recommend, losing my sanity) but 20 minutes in I put the controller down as the show was actually well written and demanded my attention. Looked up the creator after the episode while bopping to the closing Baccara song in the premiere and saw he was one of the Narcos creators and knew I was in for a ride.

I only wish it was a limited series cause who the heck even subscribes to MGM+! It should be included in Prime Video but considering these are same muppets who put ads on Prime video, me suffering through endless “find anything when you circle it” Samsung ads while all I want to do is watch RDA and crew make jokes, tackle philosophical and socioeconomic problems and save the world while looking good doing it. Hopefully the show doesn’t get cancelled cause other than Shōgun, no new show has captivated me this year.

P.S. The sound of the P90 bullets slapping Jaffa armor is pure ear porn and i can’t believe none of you have been pushing Stargate onto me, having the time of my life watching it for the first time. Also glad I wasn’t a teen boy when I discovered Samantha Carter…
