I just saw the latest episode of House of the Dragon and I’m at my wits end.
This show is fucking gross. Dog getting kicked for pure shock factor. I don’t care if it’s fake. It’s just tasteless and unnecessary. Western media needs to stop doing this because it’s alienating so many people. I don’t get how anyone can turn a blind eye to animal abuse in a tv series. Honestly I’m sick of animals dying/getting hurt in western media. It’s not only House of the Dragon that’s guilty of it, it also happened in Shogun (with horses) and Fallout. It’s also going to happen in Last of Us 2 and maybe even Quiet Place.
I’ve given up on western media because of this and instead moved to anime (heck Asian media in general). Which has its own issues but at least they don’t stoop as low as to include animal cruelty imagery. Proud to be a weeaboo.
