Now here me out, during times of peace, we have the weapons Industry produce advanced weapons for the average weapon consumer (with the exception of the nuclear ☢️, bio, and chemical weapons). Thus, putting them in the free market, which would produce more weapon companies; in turn they would produce and attempt to improve/ test more and/or new weapons for both the general public and the military.
Thus, giving the civilians more advance and cheaper arms (because simply economics), and when the next war comes around, more of an advantage in technology for the military to use. Everyone wins, well except for the people who want to fight us.
