What I mean by this is has there been a time when a show gets cancelled, did the networks, streaming platforms, production studios, etc. make the people who work on the cancelled shows (ie. Producers, writers, directors, actors, etc.) sign NDAs that prohibited them from disclosing information about why the show was cancelled? What were the plans/plot details for future seasons? And whether there was going to be another season at all.
If you are for certain this did happen before, which shows come to mind? How often did this happen? Does it still happen often?
I ask this because for some cancelled shows, there isn’t much information about why they were cancelled and what the creative teams had planned for future seasons. This makes me suspect that NDAs prevented those that worked on said shows from disclosing information.
