First of all, the opening credits song should’ve become the new official Superman theme to be used in all future manifestations of Superman. There was nothing in Teri Hatcher’s acting past that would’ve signaled her, what I think, was an award winning performance as Lois Lane but boy oh boy was she shut out of any major award nomination. She received a Golden Globe later on for Desperate Wives, but that plus any Emmy should’ve visited her for Lois Lane. Dean Cain, say whatever about his politics, was better than he should’ve been. I enjoy his Clark 2nd behind Christopher Reeves above all others. All other characters, The Kents, Lex, everyone at the Daily Planet, were all spot on, inhabited by veteran actors of film and stage. With at classy jazzy score, authentic sets, being adept at straddling the line between serious and schlock, and a 4 season run, you’ve got yourselves a pretty perfect production.

Did it overstay its welcome? Idk. Did I love it when Lois cut her hair? No. No i didn’t. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon binge? Absolutely.
