The exhibit is meant to showcase the plight of African Americans’ education freedom, beginning in the Antebellum Period and continued through Reconstruction, the Civil Rights Era, to present day.
The exhibit will showcase black school founders who are creating learning institutions for students with “thanks to school choice dollars.”
Some black school founders that Black Minds Matter will spotlight during the exhibit include Cameron Frazier, Dwayne Raiford Bishop, and Lady McLaughlin. Their website has a directory of almost 400 black school founders.
