I can’t really think of many like this- most shows are generally slightly tonally different in their very beginnings, especially ones that are intended to be long-runners, but are there any that totally change? to the point of essentially becoming different shows? whether that be because of genres or casts etc. Did you like them both before and after the major change? The first Blackadder is quite different to the following series’ I suppose but I don’t think it’s an extreme enoguh example to coun, since a lot of the basic premise and tropes remain until the end.
