I first clicked on “The Bay” Britbox because it looked interesting. Found it full of imperfect characters and an odd vibe but slowly warmed up to the storytelling and the good acting. Became a fan.
After Season 4 though, I think things really started going downhill. Where’s the continuity between seasons? So the son goes from being a shy bullied boy to a cocky, gay guy who doesn’t have to wear his uniform? And the lead actor is a cold, angry, inattentive gf to her loving, live in partner? I don’t see the appeal.
Season 5 is the worst though! I watch the show to be entertained not to be depressed. Cuts to the police are not great but the vibe is too heavy.
