Hope you’re doing well.
I am not sure how common this is, but how many situations can you think of where this happens, either due to each show sharing a showrunner (like Buffy-Angel) or part of some elaborate cinematic universe (the MCU). Even if it’s never been officially confirmed (through a guest appearance of a character on another show) that two (or more) shows are definitely part of the same universe, perhaps some shows have some clever and/or vague Easter egg as a nod to another show?
I know NBC executives came up with the infamous “Blackout Thursday” in 1994 (involving Mad About You, Friends and Madman of the People with Seinfeld declining to take part), so that’s another example of what I mean.
What are other examples of two (or more) shows running concurrently that definitely (or very likely) exist in the same universe?
Bonus points if it’s a sitcom or if there’s some subtle hints at shows existing in the same universe that you spotted.
