With Justin Jefferson just signing a new mammoth contract, he’s been the talk of a lot of NFL fans. We in our office discussed this earlier at how he stacks up against an elite WR like Randy Moss this early in his career.
Coincidentally, both of them played for the Vikings in their first 4 seasons. Here’s how they stack up against each other for the first 4 seasons of their careers
Games played: Moss - 64 Jefferson - 60
Receptions: Moss - 308 Jefferson - 392
Receiving yards: Moss - 5396 Jefferson - 5899
Receiving yards per game average: Moss - 84 Jefferson - 98
Receiving TDs: Moss - 53 Jefferson - 30
I don’t think anyone can top that TD numbers of Randy Moss in their first 4 seasons anytime soon (and Justin Jefferson is no exception to that), and maybe that stands for 50 more years. But I have to say, I’m adequately surprised at how well he stacks up against Moss on the rest of the stats; he basically tops Moss everywhere else. I’m not saying Jefferson is better than Moss, I’m saying Jefferson, so far, has been nothing short of elite. I daresay that new contract is well deserved
