So for those that don’t know or don’t follow SpaceX and Starship news, today there was a planned test launch of starship 11, the launch had to be canceled because the FAA inspector was not onsite for some reason.

Now this is something that’s new going forward, the FAA now requires an on-site safety inspector (as if they really know wtf they’re looking, this is all new tech) to be present for any launch going forward. This was not required for previous starship launches and a lot of people are questioning the legitimacy of the requirement. People have made the connection between regulation and big business using said regulation to squash competitors, in this case Boeing, blue origin, Lockheed Martin etc.

Edit: just wanted to add that a lot of subs are either locking posts or removing comments that question the usefulness of the FAA.
