The Six Million Dollar Man is one of my favorite shows. I am 22 years old, so I am greatly far from the generation that grew up and experienced it in the 70s back when it was new and cutting edge. I can say that although the premise of a human dying of an accident and getting rebuilt as a cyborg is common and played out, the stories and special effects still make it stand the test of time.
Especially the unique and interesting premises for the episodes (pilot error and Seven Million Dollar Man are my faves) and Lee Majors convincing performance as Steve Austin. Ranging from direct and stern, strong super human cyborg, to a charismatic James Bond type guy flirting with the ladies. Because of this, is the show less known due to rights where it took four decades to get an official home video release in the US? Or is it because the show having effects that look very 70s? What do you all think?
