What are some playoff games where everybody was basically predicting one team to lose and nobody, not even fans of that team, were too upset by the outcome?

Some games that come to my mind:

  • 2023, Texans @ Ravens - AFC Divisional Round: The Texans had a hell of a season. CJ Stroud easily won Rookie of the Year and Will Anderson Jr. won DROY. They went from worst to first in the AFC South in 1 year. They won a playoff game. It was impossible for Texans fans to not be pleased and feel like next year can be even better.
  • 2021, Steelers @ Chiefs - AFC Wild Card Round: Coming into the final week of the season, the Steelers were 30-to-1 to make the playoffs. They needed a ridiculous amount of things to happen - they needed to beat the Ravens, they needed the Colts to get upset by the worst team in the league, and they needed the Raiders and Chargers to not tie. And despite the best efforts of Brandon Staley, all of those things happened (lol did you honestly just think the Raiders would agree to tie you when they could beat you and get a better playoff draw?). So the Steelers got to go play in Arrowhead as a double-digit underdog. In a game that wasn’t really even as close as the 21-point margin of defeat indicates, Steelers fans just seemed happy to see Ben Roethlisberger get one last playoff game.
  • 2020, Rams @ Packers - NFC Divisional Round: 2020 was the last year of Jared Goff in LA. His relationship with McVay had soured. He broke him thumb in Week 16 against the Seahawks and missed the final game of the year. In the Wildcard Round in Seattle, Goff was cleared to play but Wolford got the start. After he had to leave in the first quarter with a neck injury, Goff stepped in, with a still-fractured thumb, and was able to lead his team to an improbable upset in some of the worst weather conditions you will ever see. That was his farewell to Rams fans - the expected spanking a week later by the 1-seed Packers was irrelevant.
