I am re-watching Picket Fences and during each episode they create a new character, build a back story about them, and then almost all the time they completely vanish after the episode. They have done this so many times that it is almost jarring. Some of the characters were quite good and I have liked them. They then disappear and it is crappy.
Do other shows do this with with the regularity of every episode?
