I’m not putting this show down at all (as you can probably tell by my post history, I love it!)

But I was considering marathoning it again today, and decided to not (I watched “monsters are due on maple street” and stopped there.) It’s partly because I’m tired and sick, and want to ensure that I’m able to pay full attention to the show when I do watch it. But it’s also because the show makes me think, and often deals with death/the concept of death (I was actually thinking about this yesterday when marathoning the show - “long distance call,” the war episodes, the episode about the woman who’s afraid of Mr death. And when the show isn’t dealing with death, it is typically exploring very deep topics.) I adore it, but feel like I need to take a break and even watch a sitcom after marathoning it yesterday (I’m about to turn on Laverne and Shirley after reading.) The show is brilliant and has timeless messages, but I feel like I need to pause and focus my attention elsewhere.
