In the olden days, when every show was broadcast once a week, you wanted to see the preview because it would tide you over waiting for the next episode. But now, I can watch multiple seasons without having to wait. Many shows still have previews of the upcoming episode at the end, because they want you to keep watching.
For me, this spoils what I’m about to watch. I want to figure out for myself what’s going to happen, and not be tipped off to any potential surprises. I don’t know why I never did this in the olden days, but it makes perfect sense now.
Having said that, the previews don’t really give away that much. And, I can understand watching them if it’s a show you really love. But, I am abstaining for the moment to see how it goes.
