I’m watching Baby Reindeer (four episodes in), and in the first episode, the protagonist Donny (played by Richard Gadd, who wrote the show based on his own experiences) literally stalks Martha and followed her all the way home. Don’t get me wrong, Martha is clearly a piece of shit in the show and is undeniably a stalker, but why do people ignore the fact that Donny is also a stalker? He followed her home, and did so before she even physically stalked him (though she was being creepy). Why do people act like there aren’t two stalkers in this story, and why is Gadd not being shunned for being a creep?
