I think everyone that’s seen the show will agree that Francis gettung fired from the Grotto was very abrupt and weird. It didn’t really make much sense for the story.
After that, Francis just goes back to his old ways, even though he had a ton of character development to turn him from a trouble-making teenager into a responsible and hard-working adult
To see them throw all that away was super weird and on top of that, we barely even see him anymore in the last seasons. I’m thinking that maybe it was because the actor didn’t want or couldn’t be on the show that much anymore.
Does anyone know if this is the case? I can’t really find anything about it online
EDIT: Someone just explained that the actor playing Otto got cancer and had to leave the show so now I finally understand why they suddenly wrote out the Grotto. Hope the guy is doing ok now
EDIT 2: So Otto’s actor, Kenneth Mars, actually died. RIP. He apparently played Longneck Grandpa in the Land Before Time series 💔
