Like I remember my first job was at Wendy’s in HS. At no point did I or any of my coworkers believe Wendy’s was “exploiting our labor” and that we should kill our boss and run the business ourselves. In fact it was funny, they had a hard time getting people wanting to be supervisors because no one really wanted the extra responsibility. Most people either full time or part time just wanted to do their shift collect their check and go home. I ended up working there for 4 months.

Did people want more money? Yeah but that’s a huge difference between saying this should be OUR business/company. Even these minimum wage protests you see on TV, the typical protestor just want a fatter check, they don’t actually want to run the business lol.

I’m trying to figure where this mentality comes from because from my experience working MW, to higher wage white collar I don’t see it at all.
