Original Title: Reading through former NFL RB Travis Henry’s ('01 - '07) Wikipedia page is a wild ride. Seven seasons as a featured back, 11 children by 10 different women, sentenced to three years in prison for drug trafficking, gets out can’t afford his child support, goes bankrupt.
Whats crazy is that if you read about his drug charges he was charged with funding a large cocaine ring for ‘several years’ in 2008. Given his career was going strong in '07 fair to say he was heavily involved in cocaine trafficking while playing in the NFL.
Henry was married once, at age 19, to a woman six years his senior; the marriage was later annulled. He was engaged in 2009, but no marriage has been reported as of January 2016.[74] Henry has fathered at least 11 children by 10 different women.[75] One of these women had twins, so she has 2 kids with him.[75]
Henry has had on-going problems making his child support payments to the mothers of nine of his children. He was arrested in Polk County, Florida, in March 2009 and charged with failing to pay $16,600 in child support.[76] His lawyer estimates that he is obligated to pay at least $170,000 per year in child support payments.[74]
For an ex felon with little job prospects thats a LOT of money!
He was good too, in '06 he had over 1200 yards w/ 4.5 ypc. His career was still going strong but he got busted for marijuana by the league, and then got arrested and that was that.
