If you are a Sopranos fan or like the genre, I recommend to check out Gommorah. It ran from 2016-2021 and you might be able to find it online. I know Netflix and HBO Max had some of the seasons at one point.
Important to note: Don’t watch it in English. They butcher the words and voices and it changes/ruins the characters. I didn’t even attempt to however a couple times it started in English and I quickly reached for the remote as fast as I could.
This show really blew me away. The acting, it felt so real.
Most of it is filmed in the toughest of neighborhoods in Naples, Italy. They do have some episodes across other parts of Europe such as Cologne, Latvia, Bulgaria, London, Barcelona and some other locations.
I won’t even get into the plot because I don’t want to ruin of the plot.
If you’re big on Sopranos and need to fill a void, Gommorah is the show.
