The 2021 NFL Draft QB class was considered to be one of the stronger classes in the pre-draft process, with five QBs ultimately being selected in the first round. Three seasons later, four of those five QBs are now not only now on different teams, but as back-up QBs
Trevor Lawrence: 1st overall by the Jaguars. Still the starter there, the only one in his class.
Zach Wilson: 2nd overall by the Jets. Traded to the Broncos with a 2024 7th for a 2024 6th in April 2024
Trey Lance: 3rd overall by the 49ers (who traded their first round picks in 2021, 2022, and 2023 for the pick). Traded to the Cowboys for a 2024 4th in August 2023
Justin Fields: 11th overall by the Bears (who traded their first round picks in 2021 and 2022 for the pick). Traded to the Steelers for a conditional 2025 6th in March 2024
Mac Jones: 15th overall by the Patriots. Traded to the Jaguars for a 2024 6th in March 2024
