Attempted Assassin David Jakubonis Who Jumped on Stage with Knife and Attempted to Murder Republican Lee Elder is Charged with Felony "Attempted Assault" and Immediately Released

Why wasn't he charged with attempted murder? Was he let out to try again?

The suspect, identified as David G. Jakubonis, 43 of Fairport, N.Y., was charged with attempted assault in the second degree.

He was arraigned in Perinton Town Court and released on his own recognizance, the sheriff’s department said.
