interesting but also kind of like so what...
quite literally isn't everyone fact checking stuff they use for wiki that might be questionable?
I mean, I guess the reality is that a lot of people aren't, so it does matter
but also there's genuine mistakes made which are "misinformation" or false
I guess I am wondering how influential such "wrongthink" can be
Usually a math article isn't going to trip me up on wiki, and if there's anything political I'd just double check on it from third party sources (sometimes linked on the page, even) to see if it checks out

Nobody is fact checking, especially not the fact checkers
Wiki is a gutter run by lobbyists who have 100% admin power to block serfs. They let serfs write non political articles, to earn Public trust. Then use that hard work and reputation to brainwash in political space. During a Presidential debate, Wiki and dictionaries like Webster change articles in real time for the sheeple
Commies and elites excel at exploitation of others' hard work
