A few people complaining on wechat did not change any law. The whole country has had draconian passports for months. Health codes that dictate whether they can get on trains or not. Police knocking on doors to make sure everyone is vaccinated in the house. People being dragged to covid camps for positive scores. If they canceled something it's likely because they didn't have the infrastructure working in time to implement it and just wanted to save face.

Is it just Beijing that cancelled it ? I have no idea outside of the Zerohedge article and the ex-editor of the State newspaper
Article claimed Vaxpass is still in place with recent tests for entering places, but mandatory Vax was removed at least officially
Maybe they say one thing officially, but bully people practically into getting the Vax

Yeah this was just some local Bejing policy. Bejing is the heart of the communist party. Because of this Beijing will likely have fewer lockdowns and really bad covid policies. Top officials will still want to take trains, go out to eat and enjoy life.
