Many single moms are trash. Not all.
Regardless of how many kids she has, men need to do their homework about her character. Its too late after you breed.
If you DO find a good woman with a kid, they come as a package. You either accept both or none. Check to see if the kid's dad would cause trouble, for example if you have to discipline the child.
Also, the younger the kid, the easier to adopt him/her... if you have a heart of Gold that is
Know your limits of whether you'd be able to parent him/her till adulthood or not. Better to be raised by a single mom, than a rotating roster of 'uncles'

some smooth brains like to bring up widows as if that's at all comparable with a mom who has bastard children
