I listen to a comedy podcast that interviews people about their shitty first jobs and together they read Craigslist job posts and riff about how crazy or over demanding the position being offered is. Obviously this is picking straw men for comedic effect. More than a few times they have lamented that this is capitalism's fault that people are mistreated or expected to do so much for comparatively little money, but to me it seems to be a symptom of over-regulation. Obviously we don't have a truly free job market. How would things be better for employees in a libertarian economy? Why don't companies that treat their employees poorly go out of business for lack of customers or willing workers?
