So in case you haven't heard, Bill Gates is helping fund a venture to cheaply dump certain chemicals into the upper atmosphere to fight climate change.

Oh the memes on this are going to be incredible. Plus there're the obvious Snowpiercer analogies.

The short version of my premise, accepting everything goes according to plan: In the event that cheap technology could make Carbon Dioxide and even Methane pollution moot as it comes to climate. What would that make moot in terms of policy and discourse and how delightful would it all be to see it all be for nothing. I'll start:

- Germany has invested billions, doubled energy prices, and introduced rolling blackouts to its citizenry to try and get their grid working on unreliable solar and wind.

- Al Gore's entire current career - super serial

- The entire solar industry, complete with much of the Tesla corporation. So sad to hear about that gigafactory!

- Ethanol fueled cars - I guess food prices will go down and all we'll have to show for it is cheaper gas as well and a few sad lobbyists :,(

- California.

- Coal is back, baby!

- Greater crop yields, as CO2 rises (fun fact: the carbon in plants comes almost entirely from the air)

- "Green Initiatives" can focus on litter, water pollution, and waste disposal

Full disclosure: I'm thinking of writing an article on the subject and I might steal all your ideas.
