I also think where mothership tech is at for drones means it's likely not much of a statement
We are probably still at a point where mother ships are more of a liability than an advancement

Seeing the Ukraine war, drones are either big expensive bombers like Predator or simple flying bombs.
Landing and taking off from a aircraft carrier is a complex task that is done can't be done autopilot yet
So, likely they have short range cheap flying bombs which fly like copters, not proper planes/jets
