    one of my small relatives just got one...

    felt a little dystopian to me, I didn't try it, but have tried VR before and it was kind of underwhelming tbh

    I'd just like an AR (augmented reality) headset as a monitor replacement

    The machine is rather good, at an amazing price. The closest competitor is Dell G2, higher res, but not wireless and doesn't have a standalone mode. And waaaay more expensive

    I am going to use a fake facebook account for first login, then disable its internet connection by misconfiguring its WiFi. There are guides for that.

    Its useful for productivity. You can make many 'virtual' monitors in VR and travel with it.

    Fuck the Metaverse... but I'll take the subsidised hardware
