Someone asked if Mangane supported quoted reposts (a.k.a. quoted retweets).

Yes, it does! And it works a lot like Twitter. Just follow these steps:

1. Click the repost button
2. Select “Quote post”
3. You will then see a compose box with the post you want to quote
4. Compose your quoted repost
5. Post!

Your quoted post will appear in your feed – rendered quite similarly to Twitter.

For other software that supports quoted reposts, like Misskey or Firefish, it will also render as a quoted repost. 🙂

On Mastodon, the quoted repost won’t be embedded but will instead show up as a link. This is because Mastodon does not support quoted reposts at this time.
