When I was in bootcamp, when you got into trouble you had to stand in front of the CO's office at attention for a while. They wanted you to sweat it out a bit I guess.
But the squirrels would come and run all over your boots. They knew you couldn't move.
Kind of like a 'counting coup' for rodents.
