Hear me out - while generally speaking, capitalism is "blamed" for climate change and depletion of resources (whether right or wrong is not the topic here), the liberty and capitalist minded folks really ought to also individually have a focus on sustainability. As resources deplete and the climate degrades, the people will inevitably look towards daddy government to step in and regulate what we can and can't do. While the market has finally made renewable energy cost-worthy, we are merely creating technology to combat our current way of living, rather than changing it.
Permaculture, no till, food forest, renegerative agriculture, all the buzz words - they can help stave off the cries for government intervention, if more people choose to individually live a more sustainable life. I think ultimately my point is capitalism & freedom are not (or don't have to be) mutually exclusive to sustainability and environmental protection.
