    Student loans are predatory. A lot of house loans are predatory as well.

    A friend of mine, his dad bought a house with a bad loan. He basically never paid it off. It was perpetual rent.

    He probably could have refinanced or paid a bit more and dug out of it, that doesn't mean the loan wasn't predatory.

      Yes. Financial education is important, just like self defence and fundamental legal knowledge.

      I don't think the right approach is to do away with loans because of bad actors. There will always be bad actors in a free market

    it is a broken system tho

    but a fix is legalizing competition to the current schools and being able to work without degrees or licenses... in effect bring in more of a free market in education and jobs

    suprised more people aren't against mandated degrees, they're like vax passports but for jobs -> job passports

      Yes. If I was 18 today I wouldn't go to these indoctrination camps where you are paying huge $$$ to fund lib activists who are destroying the world.

      I would get a technical certification: plumber, electrician, coder.... way more value in all of those. Medical college is the exception, but those kids don't have the time to party or be indoctrinated anyway
