Over the last year we’ve witnessed billions of people submit to authority and did absolutely nothing to mitigate their rights being trampled on. I thought maybe with enough education and conversion we could genuinely inspire a liberty movement to combat the tides of statism.

Good god I was wrong. First part of this rant is how people managed to turn scientists and authority into deity figures they must sacrifice their rights to in order for safety, for unemployment revenues (the modern harvest) then promptly thank said deities when their loved ones were killed like how Noah makes a covenant with God after all of the earth was flooded, evil people notwithstanding.

Cuomo received an Emmy and the hill they choose to crucify him in is sexual assault and people STILL overwhelmingly support him.

That alone has proven to me democracy is a sham and we should strive to make rights as a contract we unanimously agree to or form communities where we mutually agree not to harm each other and define rights in our own way.

This leads me to my next point. Libertarians being coopted by the left in outreach platforms like r/ you know where. Or even the LP openly pandering to left wing authoritarians who concede on police issues but would crucify us for everything else or even retweeting Bernie Sanders. It’s shown me people are too quick to pervert liberty to mean whatever they want.

This especially goes for the embarrassed communists aka Libertarian socialists. The fact these guys rationalize freedom as forcing people to take care of your basic needs via force because wage slavery and surplus value has shown me statists will go above and beyond to subvert liberty.

Now I’ve concluded we must be authoritarian in a sense against authoritarians and not give them an inch or ground to stand to strip away freedom
