        Maybe it makes sense. I guess 2020, was lockdown year. 2021 was when people got tired of it, and went out and partied. Lot of partying -> lot of drunk driving ?

        Anecdote: In 2021 spring, people in my city were getting hammered in broad daylight after being cooped up for a year. As I was watering some plants in my window, 2 drunks broke into a parked family beater and hotwired it. They rammed it into my building, right below my window. The whole building shook, it was like a bomb went off.

        Then the two drunks just laughed and ran away. A poor man, wife w/ baby show up with police 30 minutes later to salvage what was left....
