  Unironically, the point of Christ's story was to show the worst possible outcome in life

  Innocent man tortured and killed by authorities who know his innocence, who release the real criminal, betrayal by a close friend, Mary seeing her son suffer etc. Christ's story will never lose relevance. Its the conclusion of millennia of thought by mankind on suffering
