At this point it seems like an inevitability that pat Mahomes will win the game if he is down by 7 or less and has the ball with at least a minute or two left.

How is it possible that the rest of the game is difficult, he misses passes, throws picks, and makes the mistakes most QBs make, but the second it’s the final drive and the game is on the line the dude is PERFECT. Literally doesn’t make a mistake and has a dude open every single play.

Is it the way the defense is playing? Is it prevent defense giving him easy underneath throws? If so, why don’t teams just play regular defense with 1 or 2 guys back on the final drive? They don’t have Tyreek anymore so they don’t really have a guy who can beat your safety on any play. And making him throw bombs to these receivers makes it more likely he will throw a pick.

Anyway, is it the defense making mistakes, or is it that the man is so good even the best defense of all time could not stop him? And in that case, does NFL defense need some rule changes so it isn’t so easy? Because it isn’t even surprising anymore when mahomes wins the game on a final drive TD.
